Creative Movement
For children 2-4 years
New Creative Movement class for kids ages 2-3 starts at this season. This is a fun program for young children who are not yet ready for a structured dance class.
The class incorporates dance, gymnastics, music and games to give pre-schoolers confidence, strength and flexibility.
Pre-Dance
Age 5 & up
This program specially designed for children 5 & up years of age that develops rhythm, balance, and coordination. It is an excellent introduction to dance that combines ballet, jazz and creative movements. This program is a wonderful way to introduce young children to the magic of dance where we place special emphasis on building “Self Confidence” and “Self-Esteem” in young children.
Ballet Class
Age 5 & up
Ballet is the foundation of dance technique and is carried over to most other dance styles. At Fouetté Academy we hold the highest regard for the training of our ballet dancers. Ballet also improves strength, flexibility and balance while increasing the student’s focus and presenting themselves in a graceful manner.
The benefits of learning ballet include development of good posture, self-discipline while learning technique and musicality.
Jazz Dance
Age 5 & up
Jazz dance has evolved over the past few years and now includes a vast range of styles. Jazz program focuses on flexibility, rhythm, extension, balance and speed Today’s jazz may include elements of Street-Jazz, Broadway, Jazz Funk and even Contemporary movements.
Jazz tends to be a faster paced dance form performed to popular music, new and old. It is a great way to help your child co-ordination and build their cardiovascular levels in an energetic and performance filled setting.
