Fouetté Academy of Dance

Recreational Program

The goal of the recreational program is to provide a basic class for students of all levels of ability and age. We provide them with a positive and fun atmosphere while enhancing their skill level in order to give them the ability to qualify for our competitive program in the future. The recreational program not only teaches basic dance principles and terminology, but it helps develop a healthy body and a positive attitude.

Pre-Competitive Program

The pre-competitive program is designed to promote a step up from recreational dance towards competitive dance at a reasonable and affordable addition to their regular classes.
This is a transitionary program for dancers who have realized that they are passionate about dance, and want to become more involved.

Pre-competitive program provides students with well rounded dance training from 5-6 hours twice a week in Ballet, Jazz, Acro and Hip Hop discipline.
Pre-Competitive students get to compete at 3 competitions a year under the pre-competitive category as well as perform at our annual end of year gala recital in June.
The Pre-competitive program is a great opportunity for kids to grow their love for dance, enjoy a competitive environment and become a part of competitive family.

Competitive Program

Our competitive program is recommended for students who have basic dance training and would like to be challenged further. This program offers intense conditioning, technical training, first class choreography and personal attention.
Students gain the techniques they need through focused training in Ballet, Jazz, Acrobatics, Lyrical and Pointe classes.
The skills learned in this program have proven to be valuable life lessons that will continue to benefit the students in the future with self-discipline, self-expression, responsibility, and time management. This program also gives students the necessary tools to pursue dance as a profession.
Ranging from ages 5-9, our Mini to Advanced levels are built on ability, technique, personality and above all potential. Our competitive and per-competitive dancers train from 2-3 days a week, which includes 2-3 classes per day in order to be in top form for our competitions.
